A Dog’s Bedtime Prayer

Posted on Feb 22, 2016 by Lisa Ricard Claro   12 Comments | Posted in Pawsitive Pondering

Good Monday morning! It really is a good morning, because the friend I told you about in last Wednesday’s post is home from the hospital and recuperating well after suffering a massive heart attack that required an airlift to medical help and surgery. As many of you have already guessed, the friend in question is Robert Robinson, he of the smart essays (see his blog, flyfishingthehighcountry.com) and witty comments here at Writing in the Buff. I didn’t mention him by name last week because I wanted his blessing before sending up that smoke signal. But now that you all know, please continue to offer prayers and good thoughts for his speedy recovery.

Speaking of prayers, here is Buttons with his own prayer for today’s Pawsitive Pondering:

Buttons Now I lay me down to sleep

Once again, continue sending Rob your good thoughts and well wishes. Visit his blog, flyfishingthehighcountry.com, if you’d like to leave him a comment there. Feel free to comment to him directly here, as well. I know I speak for all of us when I say I’m thrilled that he’s back home and recovering. We love you, Rob!

One last thing—the winners of the newsletter contest were announced on Friday. For those of you who have not contacted me with your mailing address, please do, so I can mail your goodies!

See you Wednesday for The Naked Truth.

Lisa

I’m so glad that Rob is on the mend. I’m not sure if I think that Buttons is really praying here but at least he looks peaceful for a change. LOL I don’t know how I manage to catch him in these weird poses…

Glad your friend is doing better! I just got word my 25 year old niece was taken to hospital with heart. So much worry in so many places…not a good Monday. I don’t know how you did it, it but #2 is starting off even better than #1. You are amazing!

So sorry to hear about your niece—and only 25! I hope that since you posted your comment she’s been stabilized and is on the road to recovery.

So happy you like the book! Yay! That makes me happy. 🙂

Yes. And hard at work reviewing edits for his soon-to-be published book.

Lisa–I will head off to his blog in just a moment.

By the way, Lynn’s mailbox got run over, and she said you should send the book (and the necklace) to me.

    (It was worth a try… 😉

So glad your friend is recovering well. Will send another prayer for strength and healing. By the way, Amazon tells me your book should arrive tomorrow. Yay!
