A to Z Continues – Pawsitive Pondering: T is for Tennis Balls!

Special Agent McGee is addicted to tennis balls. He chases them, carries them, chews them, fetches them, pushes them, tackles them and is obnoxious when he wants to play with them!

Pawsitive Pondering

T is for Tennis balls
Tennis balls are just like me!
Fuzzy, lightweight, easy to carry, and fun to play with.
If they could bark and wag,
we’d be twins!

McGee does more than just fetch the tennis ball. If he wants to play and feels he’s being ignored he will bark (of course) and then give the ball a solid poke with his nose so it rolls toward his intended playmate. Who can say “no” to a request like that?

See you on Monday for microfiction and Pawsitive Pondering for the letter U.

Wishing everyone a blessed Easter Sunday –
Lisa

I'm a cat person, but if I were to have a dog, I wouldn't mind if it were a dachshund or a Jack Russell. Both are quite playful. Have you ever watched the video of the doxy who could load his own ball launcher? It's so cute. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PcL6-mjRNk&feature=player_embedded

It's not that S.A.M. is addicted and obsessed–you two-leggers are the stupid ones. You humans pay hundreds of dollars for "toys" like Blackberries and ipods.S.A.M is thrilled with tennis balls. I'll bet he doesn't even mind if they're second-hand, if they're ratty, or dirty. So who's the one with the problem?(This comment written by Foley.)

The pictures alone made me laugh; your description is equally charming. We have reserve tennis balls in almost every room. If the dog is barking at a piece of furniture, I know my arms are being called upon to retrieve what's rolled under it.

Okay, this has nothing to do with your post, but I want to know how your house always looks so clean when you've got several pets?! Plus, you work like a gazillion hours and when you're not doing that you write!

My old dog, Josh, loved his tennis balls. Once when we had friends round for a drink, we were ignoring him and so he place the ball on top of our friend's wine glass. Hilarious!

Siv Maria – I usually find the tennis balls stashed under the couch. :)Wendy – That video is a riot. Thanks so much for sharing.Patti – LOL yes, he's really spoiled!Pat – Thanks for commenting. Does your handsome fella love them, too?Luana – Yes, you're right. :)Foley – I can see you are passionate about this, and I quite agree. Tennis balls rock. Tammy – Haha–McGee pushes his tennis balls under stuff on purpose, then barks. I think he just likes telling us what to do. Deb – You made laugh out loud, really. Remember, I only have one kid left at home, and she's a teenager. You'll note I take no photos in her room. πŸ™‚ The rest of the house does stay pretty clean, except for dog and cat hair. No way to get around that, unfortunately. It is the price we pay for furry love. :)Lynda – Thanks!Rosalind – That story is so funny. Josh sounds like a very smart dog!
