An Award. . .for Me? Yay!
A giant “Thank You!” to Dominic de Mattos at Writes of Passage. Dom awarded me with the Beautiful Blogger Award and wrote some very complimentary things on his blog to go with it. I’m proud to accept this award from such a talented writer, and in keeping with tradition will now pass the Beautiful Blogger award to three worthy recipients.
Lynn Obermoeller at Present Letters. Lynn writes in epistolary form—letters to her mother, chatting about all the things she wishes she could say were her mom still alive. I am always touched by the frankness, humor and poignancy with which she writes. Also, congratulations are in order. Lynn just reached the 50,000 word count for NaNoWriMo! Way to go, Lynn!
Kathy Matthews at Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy. Kathy is the Energizer Bunny of the blogosphere. She juggles more than one blog and her supply of outlets for her vast creativity is amazing. She is a writer, photographer, seamstress, and more. Her blog is a safe nook to visit, always warm and inviting, like sharing a fragrant cup of tea with an old and dear friend.
Tammy at Message in a Bloggle. Tammy’s views on everything from motherhood to growing older and “Senior Sex(less) Dating in the City” (a series of posts that will have you laughing so hard your face will be stuck that way for an hour) are written with a healthy dose of blatant honesty tempered by high good humor. I always know I’ll leave Tammy’s blog with a smile.
One of the amazing things about blogging is the number of smart, witty and talented people I have “met” who live hundreds or even thousands of miles away. Particularly among writers, the atmosphere is one of community and generous encouragement. I’m proud to be part of it.
God bless! See you tomorrow for Microfiction Monday!
