Book Blurb Friday #16: Smart Alecks
Welcome once again to Book Blurb Friday!
If you are new to this blog, please click HERE or click the tab under the blog header for details of the Book Blurb Friday meme. This is the shortened, abridged version:
Write a book jacket blurb (150 words or less) so enticing that potential readers would feel compelled to buy the book.
Below is this week’s “book cover,” generously offered for our creative play by the gifted teacher, writer, and pet rescuer, Sioux Roslawski. My book blurb follows:
When Josie Ditzanno and her sorority sisters “appropriate” a case of candy from the university president, they have no clue it isn’t ordinary chocolate. Derived from the cocoa bean of the rare Smartalecki Tree, one taste brings burgeoning brain power.
Biff Buffington and his fraternity brothers are horrified as, overnight, the girls gain unprecedented insight into what a college man is really thinking. As the girls hang up their mini-skirts in exchange for pocket protectors (and pepper spray), the guys scramble to investigate this appalling turn of events.Mayhem ensues as Biff and friends use every harebrained scheme imaginable to infiltrate the sorority house, outwitted at every turn by Josie and pals. When the guys literally stumble across the candy and have a taste, what follows is an all-out war to prove who can outwit whom in a chocolate-coated battle of the sexes, Smartalecki style. (145 words)
Okay, y’all, I had too much fun this week. The possibilities are vast, and I’m still giggling over what I didn’t write. This is a G-rated blog, after all. Can’t wait to read your blurbs!
Please put your name and URL in Mr. Linky so others can link back to you and read your blurb, then scroll a little further for a peek at the photo for next week.
Here is our “book cover” for next week, provided by the talented artist and writer, Sandra Davies. Thanks Sandra!
Thank you for participating in Book Blurb Friday. If you haven’t yet attempted a book blurb, I hope you’ll join in. The blurbs are fun to write, and it is such a blast to read what others have written.
Have a great weekend!
