A few weeks ago we talked about movies and books, and what keeps you coming back for more of the same. Today I want to ask you about songs.

**Isn’t that a cute little flirefly bug? Since my book series is Fireflies I couldn’t resist.

At some point we’ve all had a song stuck in our head that won’t shake loose. Those earbugs can drive a person crazy after a while, and they’re hard to shake. I’ve never figured out how to clear my head of an earbug. Usually, I just suddenly realize that I’ve traded one for another. But I pretty much have an earbug all the time. *sigh* Yeah. It isn’t always easy being me.

For a while last year I had Maroon 5’s Animals stuck in my head. The part where Adam Levine howls gets me every time. The last Maroon 5 song to jam me up was Sugar. So flippin’ catchy. Then it was All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor, and I blame my hubby for that one. I had never heard that song until he complained about not liking it. Of course, I had to hunt it down to see why he hated it and—bam!—just like that, it was wriggling in my brain every time I opened my eyes. Why couldn’t he have complained about something—anything!—by Tony Bennett, or Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran?

Today my earbug is the theme from the old MacGyver show which isn’t so bad, as it reminds me of my son. Lord knows what will assail me tomorrow. Please, God, don’t let it be It’s A Small World.

Do you have a current earbug? What is it? And if you have one of those above songs stuck in your head now, blame Sioux Roslawski, because she’s the one who got me thinking about earbugs, and like an earbug, her blog post stuck with me. I wonder what you call a blog post that won’t leave your brain? Anyone? 🙂

While you’re considering earbugs, I’ll list the winners of the Love Built to Last ARCs. I came up with a few extras, so instead of 3, I’m giving away 5. The following winners were chosen at random using www.random.org:

1. Joan Mountford
2. Cathy C. Hall
3. Claudia
4. Becky Povich
5. Pat

Congrats to the winners! Please contact me via email at lisa@lisaricardclaro.com with your mailing address, and I’ll get these right out to you.

MacGyver is always a good thing! I have something from mickey mouse clubhouse. It would be wrong to share. Cruel, even.

Why would you put that in people’s heads? I thought I taught you better!

YAY! The ARC! Booooo to earworms (I hadn’t heard them called earbugs; you learn something new every day. And now I have All About That Bass in my head. Thank you.)

Congrats to the winners; they will love your book! As for earbugs/earworms, Donna by Richie Valens has been in my head all morning. Before that it was In the Still of the Night.

Can you tell that hubby and I heard a Doo Wop group last night? It was actually the third time we’ve been to see the Goldtones (www.thegoldtones.com) in the last two months. They’ve been singing at a restaurant near us and we fell in love with them. The price was also right – no cover charge – and the restaurant didn’t rush us out when we were finished with dinner; we stayed for 3 hours. 🙂

    Have a great day!

You have a great excuse for that earbug! And as earbugs go, that’s a pretty good one. 🙂

Congrats to the winners. I now know why I didn’t win because DURP, you’ve got to leave a comment and I’ve been in my own little world lately and haven’t read any blogs. That’ll serve me. I am perfectly happy to support the wonderful writer (you) and pay the big bucks to get a copy, however, I will want it signed! Can’t wait. In regards to your previous blog, I’m sure I’d be contacting the owner and giving back the treasure. Heck, I went back to the store to tell them they didn’t charge me for something. Who wants bad karma?

Well, you’re reading now, Lynnie, so thanks for coming to the party, even if you’re a little late. 🙂 There are other ways to win if you want a freebie!

Oh no, Lisa, I forgot to come back and sign up for the ARCs, but congrats to all the winners! I plan on buying my own copy of Love Built to Last anyway — can’t wait to sit back and crack open that beautiful cover! The song in my head this week is “Dinosaur Train,” thanks to my little three-year-old grandbaby. But now, thanks to your post, All About That Bass is rolling around in there too, holding its own. Quite the combo 😉

You lost me with “Dinosaur Train,” although I can imagine. 🙂

Okay (and this truly is NOT sour grapes) I debated about leaving a comment about not wanting to be part of the contest because I wanted to buy your book… because if Sioux is willing to buy a romance novel, it must be spectacular. However, the lure of a free book made me prostitute myself into trying to snag a freebie.

However, my dilemma is now over. Problem solved. I didn’t win so now I can BUY a copy.

What’s stuck in my head? “Dear Future Husband” by Meghan Trainor is stuck in my head. Especially the lines about “even if I’m wrong (the woman)…”

Ha – Looks like Meghan Trainor got both of us, Sioux. I like the ’50s vibe to her music, though as earbugs go I really would prefer Ed Sheeran. lol

I blew it, too, but congratulations to the lucky winners! Hadn’t heard it called “earbug” either, but it sure fits. Could a catchy blog post be a blogbug, then? What’s been perpetually stuck in my head lately is the chorus to the Modest Mouse song”Lampshades on Fire,” which is a series of “buhs” and “duhs.” Duh.
