Contest Winners AND Howlin’ Earbugs
A few weeks ago we talked about movies and books, and what keeps you coming back for more of the same. Today I want to ask you about songs.
**Isn’t that a cute little flirefly bug? Since my book series is Fireflies I couldn’t resist.
At some point we’ve all had a song stuck in our head that won’t shake loose. Those earbugs can drive a person crazy after a while, and they’re hard to shake. I’ve never figured out how to clear my head of an earbug. Usually, I just suddenly realize that I’ve traded one for another. But I pretty much have an earbug all the time. *sigh* Yeah. It isn’t always easy being me.
For a while last year I had Maroon 5’s Animals stuck in my head. The part where Adam Levine howls gets me every time. The last Maroon 5 song to jam me up was Sugar. So flippin’ catchy. Then it was All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor, and I blame my hubby for that one. I had never heard that song until he complained about not liking it. Of course, I had to hunt it down to see why he hated it and—bam!—just like that, it was wriggling in my brain every time I opened my eyes. Why couldn’t he have complained about something—anything!—by Tony Bennett, or Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran?
Today my earbug is the theme from the old MacGyver show which isn’t so bad, as it reminds me of my son. Lord knows what will assail me tomorrow. Please, God, don’t let it be It’s A Small World.
Do you have a current earbug? What is it? And if you have one of those above songs stuck in your head now, blame Sioux Roslawski, because she’s the one who got me thinking about earbugs, and like an earbug, her blog post stuck with me. I wonder what you call a blog post that won’t leave your brain? Anyone? 🙂
While you’re considering earbugs, I’ll list the winners of the Love Built to Last ARCs. I came up with a few extras, so instead of 3, I’m giving away 5. The following winners were chosen at random using www.random.org:
1. Joan Mountford
2. Cathy C. Hall
4. Becky Povich
Congrats to the winners! Please contact me via email at email@example.com with your mailing address, and I’ll get these right out to you.
Didn’t win? That’s okay, you still have a couple chances for a freebie. Sign up for my newsletter HERE for the chance to win a free copy, and in a separate contest, you can also sign up for the Goodreads giveaway. Here you go!
Don’t forget to leave an earbug comment. What’s stuck in your head?
Hope you’re having a wonderful Wednesday! Thanks for hanging out with me.
