Merrymaking!

Happy Wednesday, and greetings from Paradise! We’re enjoying sunshine and a deep azure sky. The windows are open, and a delightful breeze coming off the Gulf is making my condo smell like heaven—by which I mean it is blowing the doggy smell out of the house in favor of salt air. As soon as I close the windows my dogs will make certain the place regains its former pooch smell, so I’ve got to enjoy this while I can. And these two don’t understand the problem:

Also, I’m so grateful to live where I used to vacation. Going to the beach is a lot cheaper now. 🙂

I’d like to offer huge thanks to the readers who helped bring THE WRITE MAN to #3 on the Amazon Kindle Worlds Contemporary bestseller list earlier in the week. It has since been bumped by newer releases and is sitting at #18 this morning, which is still a delight for this author. Thank you to everyone who made this happen! I appreciate you so much.

(Just a little nudge: If you read THE WRITE MAN, please go to Amazon and post a review. Those reviews make all the difference in the world. Thanks!)

Sincere thanks to two of my blogger pals and fellow writers, Sioux Roslawski and Linda O’Connell. Sioux was kind enough to post her review of THE WRITE MAN on her blog Sioux’s Page, and Linda invited me to do an interview at her blog, Write From the Heart.  I appreciate the opportunity to get news of THE WRITE MAN out there. Thank you!

In other news, LOVE TO BELIEVE will soon be available as an audiobook! Pam Dougherty, the narrator/producer, finished up earlier this week, and we expect Audible to make it available to listeners within the next week or so. LOVE BUILT TO LAST, released as an audiobook a few months ago, has already racked up ten full five-star reviews. If you listened to that and loved it, wait until you hear LOVE TO BELIEVE. Pam did an amazing job again of bringing the Fireflies characters to life.

There was a lot packed into the last few weeks, but I’m happy now to take a break and enjoy the Christmas holiday with family and friends. Last night the hubster and I enjoyed dinner and music with friends who have introduced us to a local group called the Goldtones. The Goldtones are a popular doo-wop/oldies group and have quite a following here in Southern Florida. Most of what they perform is a bit before our time, but if you visit Writing in the Buff often then you know that I listen to everything from Patsy Cline to Maroon-5.  Here’s a sampling of the Goldtones for you:

It was certainly easy to . . .

. . . and we did!

Tonight we’re going caroling, which I haven’t done in years. The hubster doesn’t sing, but he’s agreed to come along anyway. Friday is our neighborhood Christmas party, and our daughter is arriving from Georgia that day as well. Tomorrow is our last shopping day, and we’ll be wrapping gifts with the windows open and Christmas music blaring!

How about you? What are you up to over the holiday weekend?

Wishing each of you a wonderful Christmas weekend! See you next Wednesday. 🙂

Congrats on the success of THE WRITE MAN!! You deserve it 🙂

Today is my last day or work until 2018!! What will I be doing? Time with family, lots of reading and eating. Well…not too much eating I hope. I still have to fit into my pants 😉

We’re heading west toward TX to visit family including Twin B who I haven’t seen since October! So thankful long distance phone calls are free now. Tries to explain how expensive it used to be and neither child seemed to fully comprehend opening that bill and prepping myself to tell the hubs!LOL
