Microfiction: Economic Meltdown
Here’s a quick rundown on Daniel. He’s still at the Shriner’s burn center, but he’s off the respirator now. They are working to get him eating solid food–his body is burning up to 12,000 calories a day through the healing process. Also–great news–his burns have been re-categorized from third degree to first and second, which will mean fewer grafts and less recovery time.
The young lady who was also burned is still in ICU. I’ve not been given any information on her prognosis.
We’re so grateful for your thoughts and prayers. I’ll keep you updated on the progress of these two kids.
Grandma’s Goulash graciously hosts Succinctly Yours, the wonderful meme for those of us addicted to microfiction. The trick is to write a story in 140 characters or less using the photo below as inspiration. To add to the challenge is the word of the week, “serene.” My story is below.
“Really? This is the ‘serene waterfront condo’ you rented for our anniversary weekend?” Ann cried. “Hey,” Ed shrugged. “Blame the economy.”

Thanks for visiting! See you on Wednesday for the belated, but naked truth about . . . . CLUTTER.
Have a great week!
