Microfiction: Just Cause – Three Variables

Posted on Aug 29, 2011 by Lisa Ricard Claro   20 Comments | Posted in Grandma's Goulash · microfiction

Monday is here again. Few love Mondays, but as Papa likes to say, waking up to a Monday morning sure beats the alternative.

With that being the case, I bid you all a warm Monday morning greeting. Grab your coffee and scroll down for a little microfiction to begin your week. Reading these mini tales will be one of the easiest parts of your day!

Grandma’s Goulash graciously hosts Succinctly Yours, the wonderful meme for those of us addicted to microfiction. The trick is to write a story in 140 characters or less using the photo below as inspiration. To add to the challenge is the word of the week, “sagacious.”  My stories are below.

Lil and Red’s excellent adventure began poorly. Their nephews, Bill and Ted, went to the airport to pick them up instead of the pier.

Enjoy the rest of your Monday — see you Wednesday!

I knew Bill and Ted's relatives were out there somewhere. The boys are obviously still rather clueless.

Thank you for your comments! I haven't even had a chance yet to visit the other microfiction participants. I'll be trailing along, but I'll get there. Today was spent finishing a synopsis and formatting the first two chapters of my WIP for a formal critique submission. Ugh. I'll write more about it on Wednesday. Thanks again for stopping by. I do honestly appreciate your time!

Popped in from Madeline's blog to say hi and join up. She was very generous with her link and her Award! Glad she was.

I can't believe I missed these. I remember reading the first one, then something must have distracted me.I love the way you've used the same/similar titles. And they're all good mini-stories.— KKay, Alberta, CanadaAn Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel
