Microfiction: Patience — Too Much and Too Little

Posted on Aug 15, 2011 by Lisa Ricard Claro   20 Comments | Posted in Grandma's Goulash · microfiction

Good Monday morning! Hope y’all had a great weekend.

Grandma’s Goulash graciously hosts Succinctly Yours, the wonderful meme for those of us addicted to microfiction. The trick is to write a story in 140 characters or less using the photo below as inspiration. To add to the challenge is the word of the week, “frantic.”  My stories are below.

Ed’s frantic help call to the IT department went in a queue. By the time the computer tech arrived it was too late for Ed and his Apple IIC.

Bratty Eva pitched a fit when her tea party guest refused to sit at the table. She punished him with a toilet flush and used Teddy instead.

Enjoy the rest of your Monday! See you later in the week.

LOL, I love the toilet flush. Had a few quests myself, I wish I could have flushed. 🙂Jules @ Trying To Get Over The Rainbow

Great job, Lisa! I don't know if I could've done anything with this week's picture. You didn't disappoint!

Help often doesn't arrive in time – poor Ed!

Ed might have fared better with an ergonomically correct chair!

As a retired IT Engineer, I particularly enjoyed the first one. "Tell them it's an enhancement" was our jocular solution to user complaints. Thanks for another fun duo.

I don't know how you do it. I've tried writing ONE and can't do it. Those are superb again!

I laughed a whole lot at that first one, because Jerry and I had an Apple IIe for 11 years before we got a new pc in 1996. My sons had to show me how to use a mouse, how to copy stuff, save stuff, etc. Jerry is renowned in these parts for being extremely frugal so we're always the last ones to get any new technology—just got our first cell phone 19 mos. ago–our son gave us his old one and put us on his plan!

Great job as always, Lisa. I especially loved the first one. Being without our computers is definitely enough to do a person in!Patwww.critteralley.blogspot.com

I've had that happen with human tea part guests, regrettably most are too big to be flushed.Saw you over at Fireblossom's and liked your comment there.Nice site you have!
