Microfiction: The Rummy AND The Cad

Posted on May 23, 2011 by Lisa Ricard Claro   22 Comments | Posted in Grandma's Goulash · microfiction · Succinctly Yours

Time once again for Monday microfiction!

Thanks to Grandma’s Goulash for hosting Succinctly Yours, the microfiction meme that challenges us to write a story of 140 words or less to accompany the photo she provides. Head on over there to link to more microfiction tales.

The word of the week to be incorporated into the story is “kink.”  This week’s photo is below along with my two stories.

The Rummy
“Pardon me, madam.
I believe this bosom. . .er, blossom, fell off your chest!
 I mean, dress!”
Henry reddened. Time to lay off the rum!

The Cad
“A rose—a token of my love,” he said.
“Shh!” She hissed. “My husband is right there!”
“Egad!” He cried. “That puts a kink in one’s corset!”
(139 char.)

Thanks for visiting.  Have an awesome Monday!

Til next time –

Love 'em both, but especially door number one! It's a rum do if I ever heard one!

They ARE both funny, but the first one made me chuckle a bit harder. I still wonder how you squeeze out TWO for each picture. (I bow down to you!)

I like the twin ideas of the 'rum' and the 'kink in the corset'. Imagine them both at the same time!

Oh and you can just tell he's a cad, can't you?! It's the wig. He wants her corset to be plenty…kinky. Sorry, couldn't resist! Both are works of art as usual!

I love the Old English feel of it, and the humor in both stories. What a little perv and adulteress harlot! Too good. Too good.Sara

Wonderful as always. Nothing like a bit of rum to loose the truth.
