Microfiction: The Temptress AND Hope Can Hear

Posted on May 16, 2011 by Lisa Ricard Claro   24 Comments | Posted in Grandma's Goulash · microfiction · Succinctly Yours

Time for Monday microfiction!

Thanks to Grandma’s Goulash for hosting Succinctly Yours, the microfiction meme that challenges us to write a story of 140 words or less to accompany the photo she provides. Head on over there to link to more microfiction tales.

The word of the week to be incorporated into the story is “tempt.”  This week’s photo is below along with my two stories.

The Temptress
“I’m cold and hungry.” Ann kept nagging.
“We go now or I’m leaving you forever!”
Jim considered her offer.
She sure knew how to tempt a man.

 Hope Can Hear
“Take the photo!” Hope begged. “I’m freezing my butt off!”
“I wish that was true,” Al mumbled.
Fortunately, he liked sleeping on the couch.

Don’t forget to visit Grandma’s Goulash with Succinctly Yours to link to other microfiction stories. See you Wednesday!

Til next time –

Two really fun ones. Hope he likes sleeping on a couch for a very long time. He's earned it. 😀

Loved them both as always, but the irony in the first is irresistible!
