Observations from the Tub: Pizza is Brain Food!

I always knew pizza was good for me!

A Florida woman, being held hostage at knife point by her boyfriend, must have heard the old adage that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, because she convinced the guy to let her order pizza. Using her Pizza Hut mobile app, the woman not only ordered a pizza, but had the smarts to add “911 hostage help” to the order. The authorities were called and the woman and her children were rescued, unharmed.

Further proof that pizza is brain food. 🙂

Yeah, I saw that, Lisa! And how smart was the gal taking the order, to notice the note?

Very smart. I’d like to think I’d be as smart, but you know what? *sigh* Probably not.

I am surprised this worked! Bad guy must have been slightly dull witted too! But I am glad for this family that it worked!!!

Lucky for her that it did work, Claudia. Can you imagine if the guy had checked her message, or if the pizza employee on the other end hadn’t taken it seriously?

I’m Going to start feeding it to my kids (the grandkids are already smart enough). Awesome thinking in an extremely dangerous situation.

I saw this story on the news — great thinking on the woman’s part, and I’m so glad the people at the pizza place followed through. Just goes to show the good people can do. Thanks for sharing!

Not only good thinking on the part of the victim, but I was impressed that the Pizza Hut employee took the message to heart and didn’t just assume it was a prank.
