Welcome! To my two newest followers, Lola and Jenn. I’m thrilled that you found me, and I’ll look forward to learning more about you through your blogs. (Check out their links!)

Here is this week’s picture for Microfiction Monday and my stories to go with it, each one only 140 characters to tell the tale!  Thank you, Susan at Stony River, for hosting this fun meme!

Earl gasped. “Em! My lost deer head!”
“Can’t be,” she lied. “Yours weren’t wearin’ a hat.”
Dang it! Durned if the woman weren’t right!

Drat the luck! Chauncey thought.
Cousin Roy is wearing a top hat and tails in some country club.
How did I end up at Bubba’s Pink Pig BBQ?

Hope everyone had a terrific weekend and that your Thanksgiving week starts out fantastic!
Lisa

P.S.  NaNo update – 47,245. I can see the finish line, buttercup!

That woman is a fast thinker! That's the problem with donating things to rummage sales within 5 miles of your own home . . . and that being the first time in 5 years your hubby decides he wants to go along! Fortunately, Earl is none too bright!Well done!

Sounds like Earl is just a tad gullible.Chauncey, in the final analyzis, you and Roy are both just pretty faces, being used.

It's bad enough this poor bucky's wall-barnacled, but to have to "topped" and "draped" in such a fashion-wrong way has got to be the ultimate humiliation! LOL! Poor deer. I'm hoping there's a set of four hooves on t'other side of the cinder block that will soon gallop Chauncey fast away, because he's definitely not going to be awarded any style points, if he sticks around. LOL!SparkleFarkle~~~~~*

Ha! You made me chuckle out loud at this one. Unfortunately, living my little part of the world I run across a lot of "Earls"!

I like both of these but number one is my favorite-it must be because of the dialect additions.
