Pawsitive Pondering: C is for Cats AND Microfiction!
Please scroll down for today’s microfiction. But first! Today is day three of the A to Z Challenge, and that means the letter C. Tabby decided it was time she had a say.
C is for Cats:
We are not aloof, we just have a fine appreciation for our own company.
As it turns out, we also adore yours. . .even if you’re a real dog.
Purrrr. . .
Saturday’s post featured a dressed-up Dachshund (Lady Dog-Ga). I neglected to mention that the pic was snapped last fall at the annual Howl-o-Weenie festival, sponsored by DREAM (Dachshund Rescue, Education, Awareness and Mentoring) here in Atlanta. Great organization, dedicated to promoting the love and care of this very fun and loving breed.
Come back tomorrow for the next A-Z post, D is for Dogs, to see what my “nephew” Buster has to say. For today’s weekly microfiction, please see below.
Thanks to Grandma’s Goulash for hosting Succinctly Yours, the Monday microfiction challenge. It is a coincidence that the photo includes a cat, which meshes nicely with today’s Pawsitive Pondering.
This week’s picture prompt is below along with my two stories (each 140 characters or less) to match. Also, I used “culprit,” the word of the week.

“Careful, idiot! That cat is from the Ming Dynasty collection!”
“But it says ‘made in Taiwan’ on the tail.”
“Ah, but it doesn’t say when!”

Tabby purred, delighted.
She had only to hock up one gooey fur ball with great show,
and the culprits would free her.
Putty in my paws. . .
Tabby is one cool cat. She’d like you to come back tomorrow to check out her pal Buster’s Pawsitive Pondering for the letter “D.” Hope to see you then!
