Pawsitive Pondering: Q is for Quick

Posted on Apr 20, 2011 by Lisa Ricard Claro   14 Comments | Posted in A-Z Challenge · dogs · Pawsitive Pondering

Only nine days left of the A to Z Challenge. I’ve discovered many great blogs and look forward to continuing the virtual meet & greet.

Here is today’s offering for the letter “Q.”

Pawsitive Pondering
Q is for Quick:

We dogs use the word “quick” all the time. You may not understand what we’re saying because it sounds a lot like “woof!”  Here are examples of times when we think the word “quick” is in order.

Special Agent McGee:
“Quick! Swim this way so I can save you!
How can I protect you if you won’t stay on the boat!”

“I better sniff quick before the little stinker runs off!”

“Quick! Take the picture! I want to lick Dad’s face before he stands up!

And sometimes we say the word “quick” when we’re trying to urge our humans to do something.  Like this:

“It’s Luna! Quick, Mom, quick! You better start writing and using that keyboard before——-!”

“Not quick enough!”

Tomorrow’s Pawsitive Pondering is “R” for Remembrance.  See you then!

Penny could also be saying, "I need to sniff quick before the stink wears off."I loved the last photo, of Luna on top of the laptop, which has a photo of Luna on the screen. That has the whiff of being posed! (ha)

Those are darling pictures! The one where Luna is sleeping on the keyboard with herself on the screen is priceless! Thanks for making me smile, Lisa.

Sioux – LOL You're half right. The photo is several months old, taken the first time I posted about Luna. She spends a lot of time with me when I write (unless my daughter is home, and then she ditches me) so snagging the shot was pretty easy. I didn't set it up, though. She just happened to be very accommodating. 🙂 Right now she's stretched out behind my laptop (nice and warm) looking out the window. Pat – Yes, I know you have kitty paw prints on all your stuff, too! It's great, isn't it?!Ricardo – Thanks for the nice comments! I wish you a happy Easter holiday as well.(Note: Blog buddies, please do not be impressed. I don't speak a word of Spanish, but my daughter's best friend is fluent. She translated for me!)Nancy – It would be tough not to love these hairy kids. They're adorable!Kathy – Thanks for stopping by. Luna's a trip. Laraine – Hehehe…you're not just funny on your own blog. You make me laugh here, as well. Thanks!

Aw…I have a huge grin on my face reading this, Lisa! I particularly like the last two photos…if I leave my laptop for even a minute, one of my two cats will quickly curl up on the lovely warm keypad…LOL!

These pictures are adorable. I love the one of Luna napping on your keyboard! I read your "Destiny" story today…very well done. What an unbelievable story! I can't even imagine how small McGee was when you first found him. It really touched me to read it, and I'm sure witnessing it was even more amazing!

Hey, this Katherine, Debra's daughter. I read your post, and it's really cute. And I thought the first one about McGee was really funny. I got introduced to him today through your article in Chicken Soup. I loved it. Very nice. Congratulations on getting accepted! 🙂

I suffer from the a similar malady – cat hair on the keyboard. For some reason, it is when I'm keying that either Tiki or Baby Cat wants to snuggle. Baby Cat invariably pops a leg up onto the keyboard and her hot little paw makes my cursor skittle everywhere – or she edits when I'm not trying to. *sigh* But, we love them.Stopping by from the A-Z Challenge to visit.
