RIP Tabby Girl
Queen of All She Surveyed
This is a rare post off my usual schedule. If you follow me, then you know about our old Tabby girl. She’s been with us nearly two decades, and her passing early Friday morning has left a hole in our hearts and our household.
It is amazing how much space an 8 pound creature can fill. She was beautiful, vocal, affectionate, cranky, demanding, and lovable. She ruled the dogs, our other cat, and—if I’m being honest—us. But she gave us nearly two decades of unconditional love and companionship. She is missed by all of us, human and fur-baby alike.
Whoever believes cats are aloof, you’re wrong. Take a look:
And she loved her dogs . . .
Aloof? Never. Bossy? Well . . .
But she was a snuggler!
And she took joy in small things, like kitty treats and sun spots.
Tabby girl — We love you, we miss you, and we’re grateful to have had you in our lives. May heaven bless you with an unlimited supply of Temptations, and may the best sun spot always be yours.
