Rumming With the Bulls? It has to be Microfiction Monday!

Posted on Nov 29, 2010 by Lisa Ricard Claro   31 Comments | Posted in microfiction

Ahh….all rested up from NaNoWriMo and Thanksgiving feasting, just in time for Microfiction Monday, where a tale is told in 140 characters or less. Thanks to Susan at Stony River for continuing to host this delightful writing challenge.  Here is this week’s picture and my two stories to go with it:

Though the king submitted to a TSA pat-down, the queen refused.
“This is bull!” She declared.
“Hands to yourself, mister. I’m hoofing it!”
* * * * * * * * * * * *

“Rumming with the bulls?” The queen glared at the king.
“You said running, you old sot!”
“Honest mistake.” Lied the king. “Bottoms up!”
Thanks to everyone who offered support and encouragement through the NaNoWriMo challenge.  I reached my 50,000 word goal and estimate another 30-40,000 to go before my manuscript is complete. Then, of course, is the editing process where the slicing and dicing begins.  Ouch!
I sincerely hope that everyone enjoyed a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday!
Til next time –
Lisa

    Very funny, both of them. I saw that there are T-shirts to (not) wear when you fly that say things like "Grasp the buttocks firmly" or "____ Airline: Fondly Fondling Since 2010."I agree. I think you should take the next month off and inhale deeply and slowly. You have the next year/a long time/the rest of your life to revise…And again, congratulations. I am bowing and genuflecting. To misquote a character from one of my favorites,you've done a "far, far better thing than I've ever done before…"

    P.S. You just made me realize it could be said that all fiction…is running with bull! And you do it with such grace. I think your Indian name should be "Dances with Bull!"
