At least RuRu is honest. I could say the same thing about chocolate. “I don’t always say ‘yes” to chocolate. Oh, who am I kidding? I ALWAYS say ‘yes’ to chocolate.”

Thanks for the smile today, Lisa.

Touch barks at the large, the strange, and the all: all large vehicles that turn the corner onto our road; all strange vehicles that turn onto our road; all vehicles that turn into the driveway; all large dogs that go down the road; all strange dogs that go down the road; and all dogs that come on to the property. She does not bark at large, strange people–unless they come on to the property. All things that she thinks worthy of a bark get two barks–no more, no less–then she waits for me to investigate and determine if further action is required. But when the property line has been crossed, she will bark until action is taken, that is until I come out and tell her to HUSH! Noises of unknown origin get woofs. Sometimes the woofs are given from a prone position, but if the woof is accompanied by standing with ears raised, the woofs will continue until the noise has been investigated and the all clear given, ie, HUSH!

I love Touch and I’ve never even met her (well, clearly not, since I’ve yet to meet you, although if we do meet, prepare for a big hug!). When I cobble together all the comments you’ve made about her, my impression is that of a gentle giant, intelligent, perhaps quirky in her own way, and greatly loyal to her human companion. If none of this is true, kindly do not disabuse me of my assumptions. 🙂

Ru Ru looks like a sweetie. Happy Labor Day to you and yours. I am going to take my last swim in the public pool, then barbeque and hope some of the kids show up. Everyone is so busy.

I’m assuming at least one of the kids showed up, because I saw the video of adorable Liam walking! You have to stop bragging like that! lol Seriously, Linda, he’s so darn cute. Hope you had a fun day!

I know! RuRu doesn’t belong to me, but I love getting photos of him because he is so expressive. Hope you and Biscuit and your hubby had a great day.

My Buttons is funny – he almost never barks at anything except US! Rusty, on the other hand, barks at everything.

Buttons will stand and look up at us and just bark and bark until we figure out (or not) what he wants. When we first got him we tried ignoring this behavior so as to not encourage it. Well, it didn’t work. I let him bark for over 20 minutes once and couldn’t stand it any longer so I picked him up. Needless to say, he won that battle and usually has won subsequent one! 🙂

Hope you had a great weekend!

Very cute! Even dogs need to be honest. 🙂 Wishing you the best with the educational project!

Ok, let me just say that “RuRu and His Deep Understanding of Self” is one of the coolest titles I’ve ever heard. RuRu is pretty wise. Except I am trying to get a job as a carrier and one of my worries is that dogs won’t like me any more.
