They’re Hitched!

Posted on Oct 19, 2016 by Lisa Ricard Claro   22 Comments | Posted in The Naked Truth

Happy Wednesday! We’re on the train to the weekend, and I’m excited for Saturday because the hubster is taking me to a mountain festival. I love the mountains as much as the beach, and if you know me, then you know it’s a big, big love. The North Georgia mountains are teeming with fall foliage, and it’s going to be beautiful in ways that feed my spirit. I can’t wait! Also, it is a nice way to relax after the trip to Miami last weekend and my daughter’s wedding.

The professional photographer promised photos in a few weeks, and I’ll post some of those when they’re available. Fortunately, the groom’s father is a fine photographer himself, and he snapped his camera throughout the wedding so I have some to share. A little out of order, but here you go!

Father/daughter dance.

As mother of the bride, I did a fine job keeping my emotions under control—until the father/daughter dance. That’s when I lost it. Here’s the song my daughter chose to dance with her daddy. So sweet.

All in all, a wonderful wedding! More pics in a few weeks. 🙂

During the last few weeks I’ve been remiss in visiting other blogs and have been mostly absent from Facebook. I’m still playing catch up, so it will probably be next week before I’m in full swing again. Please bear with me! In the meantime, have a wonderful week and weekend, and I’ll see you next Wednesday.

Thanks for hanging out with me.

Thank you, Cathy. They’re on their honeymoon now and it’s back to the old grind for the rest of us.

Beautiful bride, handsome groom, gorgeous mother-of-the-bride. Everybody, in fact, looks maahvelous and happy.

I guess Stephanie is a last-minute writer, like maybe her mama is sometimes? (I’m referring to the picture of the last minute vow revising.)

By the way, the wine-colored dress (I hope I got the shade right) was a great choice. That color looks wonderful on you.

Tell the couple that all your blog friends say, “Congratulations!”

Thanks, Sioux. Yes, you got the shade right. I think it was called “merlot,” so you nailed it. It was a happy day, and everything went just fine for my baby girl. That’s all I wanted, was for her to have the day she dreamed of, and she did. 🙂

Thanks, Antionette. She was cool, until she had to say her vows, and then she broke suffered from “stage fright” and broke out in red splotches. lol

Thanks, Stephanie. It was cool up there in Blue Ridge, but not uncomfortable. Perfect sweater/boot weather. Love it!

Beautiful pictures! Have a good time on your mountain trip. I’m playing catch up myself having just returned from a wonderful 5 day cruise with family and friends.

Looks like a beautiful wedding. Daddy-daughter and Mother-son dances always bring on the tears for me.

Yes, it brought back memories for me, Pat. I miss my dad, and the father/daughter dance at my wedding is one of my favorite memories, so I guess it was natural that I boo-hooed when it was my daughter’s turn with my husband.

He really is. That’s the groom’s nephew, and he’s every bit as adorable as he looks.
