What I Really Look Like Stalking a Deadline

Posted on Apr 27, 2016 by Lisa Ricard Claro   19 Comments | Posted in The Naked Truth

Disappointing news. Robert Robinson’s interview has been rescheduled to May 11th. But here is his book cover—click on it to link to Amazon so you can learn more about it before then. Gorgeous cover! And the essays are wonderful. I’ve read every one.

This week I’m hip deep writing that first grade interview book I told you about a short time ago. I’d really love to tell you that this is me, sleek and badass as I stalk the upcoming deadline:

Yep, I’d really love to tell you that, but I can’t. I’m scrambling to get it done, Buttercup. So, to tell you the Naked Truth, this is a more accurate representation:

You get the idea. This week’s blog post is giving way to the demands of a first grade book about five different careers. Special thanks to Sioux Roslawski and Lynn Obermoeller for helping me collect interview questions from kids. Now that the responses are rolling in, I must get to work turning it all into a book for first grade readers while adhering to stringent guidelines. Wish me luck.

I shall see you next Wednesday. Have a wonderful week!

Thanks for strolling by –
Lisa

Hang tough. Thanks for the promo. Any success the book has will be because of your expert editing. Of that I have no doubt. You will make your deadline, because that’s what you do. 🙂

Thanks, Rob. And don’t give me so much credit. Your essays rock, with or without me.

Thanks for that, Stephanie. I also love the saying you have in your email signature: Do not mistake God’s delays for God’s denials. That one really stuck with me, and when that happens, you know it was meant for you!

I’m so proud of you, Lisa. I have been unable to write anything of any kind for a while now, but have finally returned to my blog just to post photos of our darling Lindy dog, who is blind, arthritic, and not in beauty pageant shape.

Lisa–I’m in great company. Put right next to Lynn in YOUR blog.

You’re welcome. And yes, you can make your deadline. Drink (maybe coffee and not wine… not yet). Eat (chocolate). Write.

We’re all in great company! 🙂 And thanks for the encouragement. There has been coffee…and wine…and chocolate. Maybe not in that order.

Wow, Lisa – you are one busy gal. I’m obviously way behind in stopping by. I’ll email you later because I have questions….many questions! 🙂
