Woot! Woot! (The Magic Number is 53,420)

I completed my first NaNoWriMo challenge! I’d do a happy dance, but I’m too tired and sore after all this typing. I’m leaning more toward the Old Bagger Shuffle, but at least I’m still smiling!

53,420 is the count.  That total may climb as I still have lots more writing to do before this manny is complete, and as near as I can tell uploading and verification has yet to be initiated on the NaNo site.

The important thing is that I’m finally done. My family will be thrilled to hear the news as I will now stop neglecting them. Things will be clean and sparkly around here again very soon. Maybe. I could get used to a little dust, now that I know it won’t kill anybody.

Everyone please enjoy a safe and happy Thanksgiving Day holiday!

Til next time –

Hi Tammy – I finished early out of desperation. With the holiday coming up I knew I'd never finish if I didn't do it ahead of time. I'll be a writing slug for the next four days. LOL

Hey Kathy! After all that work and writing and, really, nothing happens. I upload to their verification program, they confirm my word count, and I get a nifty badge for my blog (or something like that…I think). You'd think at the very least a Chippendale's guy would dance across my computer screen, right? Sadly, no. So what do I have to show for all my hard work? A (nearly) completed manuscript. That's the payoff. I'll let you read it someday, but right now it is in desperate need of serious editing! So happy you collected your winnings before Thanksgiving. I'm glad you like the stuff!Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. πŸ™‚

Hey, Lisa—You are one manuscript richer than you were on November 1st. Enjoy the day tomorrow—no matter how you celebrate.
