Zorro, the Gay Blade!

A big “Welcome!” to my two newest followers, Arlee Bird and Faith Hope Cherrytea.  Please link to their pages and have a look around.

Gosh. . .how did it get to be Microfiction Monday again? The last week zipped past, and here we are. If you’ve visited before then you know the drill:  140 characters to tell the story that matches the picture. Thanks to Susan at Stony River for hosting this awesome meme!

Sexy boots; check! Manly hat; check!
Flowing cape proving my understanding of the female psyche; check!
Ed’s Bar happy hour, here I come!
* * * * * * * * * *

Yes, it’s true!
My manliness I inherited from my Papa;
my cooking skills from Mama;
and my fashion sense from the movie Zorro, The Gay Blade!
You can see from my microfiction tales that my mood is lighthearted today. That would have to do with NaNoWriMo and my word count, which is at 31,000 as of last evening.  With 19,000 words to go, the end is in sight. I’m not quite in the home stretch, but I can see it just over the horizon. Yay!
Today is the last day to sign up for my blog contest (scroll down a few posts for entry rules).  A random drawing will determine the winner, so check back here tomorrow for the name of the winner!
Have a great Monday!
Lisa

    I'm partial to your more serious tone with these Mini things, but that picture would be a challenge so you did quite well! I would have been lost completely. You are on the home stretch NaNo girl–you'll do it and bravo!!!
